As of yesterday, A. and I have the same last name. It absolutely floored me how easy it was… no court appearances or anything… It feels really really special… so introducing our new last name Mil.ston. (minus the . of course) I’m elated and grinning like a little kid.
Update
I wanted to update and let everyone know that all the craziness has stopped… seems like a false alarm that the chiropractor set off. So no more chiropractor for me… and now I get to just live with the sciatica pain.
Two posts are brewing – 1 about gifts we’ve gotten already and one is a rant… plus i owe you guys a belly shot… will post them soon.

Congrats on the name change? We’ve thrown this around a little, but haven’t jumped yet. Neither want to take the other’s name, but we are not adverse to creating our own.

Congratulations! It’s such a big and important step.
We created and legally adopted our own family name a couple of years ago and feel that it was one of the best decisions we could have made for our family.
Glad you’re feeling better – I was worried about you. Have you tried stretches and massage for the sciatic pain? It’s giving me hell too.

Congrats on the name change….now the craziness of having to change everything over begins. We changed our names over a year ago and there are still things that we haven’t gotten to yet. Good luck!

Well done on coming up with a name you can agree on! No easy task as Ducks and I can attest. We’re back to both keeping our own names. Who knows what name poor Squeak is going to get lumped with. I guess we’ve got 26 weeks to work that out!

Congrats on the name change! Glad to hear it was so easy. We are thinking of doing the same, have come up with a beautiful last name combining both of our names and now the partner is backing away. Oy.
I hope it doesn’t take too long to get all of the other paperwork done and everything changed over before SukiDot comes to the outside world.
